Based on the prototype hospital design as developed for the Columbia Asia Cheras Hospital, the Columbia Asia Setapak Hospital adopts a functional, modern appearance for its 90-bedded community hospital. The interior is a neutral hue of background white with accent colours in certain areas. The interior ambiance is fresh and therapeutic yet hygienic. The interior benefits from abundant natural lighting. The intensity of light is controlled and filtered by architectural planes of different materials, textures, and colours. When light passes through or is reflected from these planes, different light qualities are produced as required for specific areas.
